For the community.

Being apart of the HRM.
We are proud to be part of the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), which is led by our current mayor, Andy Fillmore. The HRM is responsible for municipal services, local governance, and regional development across our area.
While we don't have a dedicated team of councillors or individual council meetings specific to our region, we are well-represented within the larger framework of HRM through our elected officials.
Local Representation.
Mayor Andy Fillmore
Recently elected as Mayor, Andy Fillmore was the Member of Parliament for Halifax, from 2015 to 2024. In his nine years as MP Andy has been a champion for issues around infrastructure and housing, science and research, national defence and shipbuilding, and the environment.

Councillor David Hendsbee
Within the HRM, our voice is championed by David Hensbee, who serves as our representative on the HRM Council. David plays a crucial role in ensuring that our interests and concerns are brought to attention. His efforts help bridge the gap between our community's needs and the policies implemented by HRM.
